My Business Policies

Thank you for checking out this page, it means that you’re taking this seriously and that’s important! Any of my clients could tell you that I have a silly, calm, and comfortable presence, but policies and business boundaries are imperative. And while many of my clients become dear acquaintances, this is still my business, my livelihood, so unless you’re my mom, expect no loopholes with policies.

  • A $75 deposit is required to book an appointment. This deposit can be paid within the booking website (Venue.Ink,) or through apps like venmo or zelle.

Why is a deposit important? Your deposit funds my design time and also locks in your appointment time. Please see more information below regarding cancellations and rescheduling and how your deposit plays into that.

This deposit IS applied to the final cost of the tattoo. So if your tattoo costs $200 but you paid your $75 deposit, you’ll only pay $125 once your appointment is complete (tips always appreciated of course!).

Without a deposit, your appointment is not booked and I will not work on your design. No exceptions.

For bigger projects like sleeves, back pieces, or multiple session pieces, I require a $150 deposit. Your deposit will roll over and be taken off of your total cost for your final appointment. Larger piece = larger deposit, why? Large scale pieces take more time designing, planning, and dedication to my schedule. I prioritize scheduling these ongoing projects as well, so we’ll often have two appointments scheduled for you at all times to ensure you’re not awkwardly waiting a month or two in between sessions (unless that’s your desired timeline).

  • Consultations are a great way for us to meet, discuss your idea in further detail, and go over the specifics. Consultations occur in person (zoom/facetime can be used for my out of town clients only), and take anywhere from 10-45 minutes typically.

While I’d say only a small percentage of my clientele request consultations, I tend to request them for any large scale piece, intricate or complicated ideas, and for some coverups. For consultations, I require a $30 deposit. This deposit will be taken off of your tattoo total. If you change your mind and do not decide to book, that $30 deposit is non-refundable. If you do not book an appointment for the piece that you had a consultation for, you MAY still be able to apply that $30 deposit to a different tattoo :)

  • Life happens. Minds change. But my policies around cancellations and rescheduling will remain ;)

    • Canceling an appointment with at least 3 days notice, no reschedule = deposit is non-refundable, yet still could be applied to a tattoo that you schedule in the future.

    • Canceling an appointment less than 3 days notice, no reschedule = deposit is non-refundable. A new deposit must be paid to book again and the first deposit is null.

    • No show, or canceling day of = deposit is non-refundable. Depending on the circumstances and if I will allow for you to rebook in the future, your deposit will be 50% of what your tattoo was quoted ($75 minimum still). For example, if you were quoted $100, you’ll still need to send a $75 deposit. If you were quoted $500, your deposit is $250.

    • Rescheduling an appointment with at least 3 days notice = your deposit can be applied to a future appointment.

    • Rescheduling an appointment giving less than a 3 days notice = you will be asked to provide a $30 last minute reschedule fee, this will be taken off of your original deposit. ($75 deposit originally provided, $30 fee taken off, $45 deposit remains and a $30 will need to be provided to rebook).

    • If you are feeling unwell, please let me know as soon as possible so we can decide what might be best in regards to your appointment and potential rescheduling.

I understand that events and unpredictable things happen. Please communicate with me as soon as you are aware that you may need to cancel or reschedule! With enough notice, I am able to provide permanent body art for other clients rather than scheduling them further out. I am an independent contractor, my own boss essentially, so no client = no financial expectation met for the day = :(

Thank you for being understanding and respectful of my time, business, and finances. Your support means the world!

  • I price on a flat fee system and will provide an estimate for every tattoo inquiry. Larger scale pieces will have a more loose estimate justifiably.

What do I consider to provide an honest quote?

    • Sizing

    • Detail

    • Color or no color

    • How long will it take me

    • The intricacy/simplicity of the design (i.e. did it take me hours to draw or is it a font or logo thats already been designed)

  • Touch ups are normal and especially necessary depending on placement, coloring, and design. I’ll always be transparent with you about if your tattoo may need frequent touch ups at your initial appointment, and may even make recommendations to avoid this if you do see it as an inconvenience.

    • Free touch ups may be offered within 12 months of your initial appointment.

    • Touch-ups after 12 months or needed only when proper aftercare was followed will result in a $30 fee to merely cover supply costs.

    • You can always reach out to me prior if you are unsure if you need a touch up or not and we can decide together :)

  • There’s often an unspoken rule to arrive to appointments early. I promise you, no need to implement this for our appointment.

    • Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes early to your appointment. Chances are, I may be still setting up or finishing up with another client. Arriving 5-10 minutes early or right on time is perfect. If you’re typically an early bird, go grab yourself a coffee or a quick meal, it’s important that you're hydrated and eat well before your appointment.

    • Running a little behind? Please contact me ahead of time. Being 5-10 minutes late is okay when given a heads up (Especially if you’re grabbing coffee, just bring me one too!)

    • If you are more than 20 minutes late, especially without notice, please understand that we may need to reschedule. Please see information about no shows in the cancelation/reschedule tab.

  • Sure, getting tattooed is usually a laid back, fun environment, but there are some general expectations when it comes to getting tattooed and respecting the space and myself as the artist.

    • You must be 18 or older to get a tattoo, no exceptions.

    • You must bring one valid form of identification to your appointment (Drivers license, passport, birth certificate, etc).

    • Please do not come to your appointment under the influence of any substance or drug.

    • Please give me a heads up if you will have a guest with you. This is a small space and I share a work environment with other artists and their clients as well. Children are often not allowed in the shop and absolutely no pets. This is a professional and clean environment where permanent body modifications occur, therefore, not really the place for large groups, children, or animals.

    • Moral support is always great, especially when it’s your first tattoo. Having a respectful friend or family member, or two, is never a problem. Please be understanding if space is limited in the tattoo room and if a guest is requested to wait in the lobby. I always try my best to avoid this, but again, I work in a professional shared space and must prioritize the comfort of my colleagues client’s as well.

    • If you are feeling unwell, please let me know as soon as possible so we can decide what might be best in regards to your appointment and potential rescheduling.

    • Please let me know if you have any skin conditions, allergies, or medical conditions prior to your appointment. With enough notice, I can do my best to familiarize myself and best prepare for your appointment.
